Lush's New Retro Range - June 2013

Posted on 16:03 by tony
I've been waiting with anticipation for Lush to release their new retro range, and they have not disappointed. It's been a while since they've released multiple bath bombs, so I'm eager to try them all. Some of these products have been on my 'want' list for a while now, and it's great that I can try them without paying over the odds to import them over.

I know most of these products are firm favourites for many longtime Lush fans, but as a bit of a newbie, I will be trying them all for the first time.

So without further ado...

Ne Worry Pas Bath Bomb

Let the sweet smell of violets envelop you as you sink down into the milky white depths of a Ne Worry Pas bath. This much-loved bath bomb has a gorgeous, heady fragrance to calm the mind and ease away your cares.

Waving Not Drowning Bath Bomb

Waving not Drowning is the ultimate sleep-inducing soother, with a blend of essential oils that are specially selected to aid restful slumbers. The fragrance is mainly floral, with relaxing lavender and ylang ylang, but there’s also a hint of cardamom and fennel, which will help clear the mind and put a stop to those whirring thoughts that can keep us awake at night.

The Bugsplat Bath Bomb

The Bugsplat Ballistic is fragranced with our Gorilla Perfume, The Bug. This is a perfume inspired by a growing sense of foreboding and paranoia about the modern age, in which the concept of a surveillance society is fast becoming a reality. We therefore thought that this fragrance was wholly appropriate for Bugsplat, a ballistic that was created to raise money for Reprieve and to help stop the illegal drone strikes happening in conjunction with military surveillance programmes.

Still Life Bath Bomb

Sunshine and flowers, captured for you in this cheery bath bomb. With a beautiful selection of citrus essential oils like bergamot, lemon and sweet wild orange, the fragrance of Still Life is light and uplifting. We’ve packed it with the blooms of summer – marigold and sunflower petals – to swirl around you in the water and remind you of hot, sunny days.

Red Rooster Soap

Red Rooster wakes you up just as surely as a cockerel crowing outside your bedroom window. You have to get in the shower before it can start working, but then all need to do is start washing. We squeeze the juice of fresh, organic oranges into the mixing vat, then add warming cinnamon and refreshing orange. The reviving scent percolates through the morning fog of your mind and brings you back to life. Give one to everyone incapable of speech before coffee time.

Sandstone Soap
With that most uplifting of essential oils - litsea cubeba oil – Sandstone wakes up the mind even before it gets started on the skin. It’s the perfect soap for summer, and the exfoliating sand will get your skin beach-ready in no time. On the glorious beaches of Rio de Janeiro, stunning Brazilian babes, and their mothers, mix up tanning oil with the fine sand and scrub their backsides to make them as smooth as silk. Sandstone soap has a layer of sand and the seductive citrus scent of a caipirinha cocktail.

I think I'm most excited about the Ne Worry Pas and Still Life bath bombs. I like the idea of the former - made with soya milk and violets - it sounds like a beautiful, creamy bathing experience. The Still Life bath bomb also sounds scrumptious with it's lemon and sweet wild orange scents. I'm hoping it'll be the perfect stand in for the now discontinued, The Enchanter.

Which ones have your tried? What are your opinions?
